Police find South Jersey man lying dead in home

Death considered suspicious as man suffered head trauma

An investigation is underway after a South Jersey man was found dead with a head injury in his house Thursday evening, according to authorities.

Police say that officers checking on the well-being of 45-year-old Lakewood resident Miguel Rivera found him lying dead in a hallway in his home located on Laguna Lane around 8 p.m.

He had suffered head trauma and police are considering his death suspicious in their investigation.

An autopsy was scheduled for Friday but police have not yet released its results.
