Police: Man stabbed near Philadelphia City Hall

Investigators believe incident stemmed from argument between homeless

Philadelphia police are investigating after a man was stabbed in the neck near City Hall in Center City Sunday morning.

According to authorities, the incident occurred around 10 a.m. on 15th Street a short distance from Market Street, NBC 10 reports.

The stabbing is believed to have stemmed from an altercation between two homeless people.

The victim was taken to Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, where his condition was not immediately available. Investigators blocked off a small area at the scene of the stabbing.

No arrests have been made as police continue to seek a suspect.
