Philadelphia police have released the identities of two people found shot dead inside an SUV discovered in Fairmount Park.

According to Officer Christine O'Brien, police spokeswoman, the bodies of Shakoor Arline, 25, from the 2800 block of West Girard Avenue and Lisa Smith, 32, of the 6300 block of Oakland Street, were discovered at about 2:41 p.m. Friday after two employees of the Philadelphia Parks and Recreation Department found a white Toyota Sequoia with an Arizona license plate parked on the grass near 800 Lemon Hill Drive.

In a press conference on Monday, Capt. James Clark of the city's homicide unit said the incident was likely a "crime of passion," as both individuals were in relationships with other people at the time of the murders. Contacted Monday, a police spokesperson said law enforcement officials have interviewed the partner of one of the victims, and was reaching out to others.

Police investigators believe the victims were engaged in a sexual act at the time of their deaths, as Arline was found fully nude and Smith was partially clothed.

No suspects have been named by police.

According to O'Brien, the employees found the victims – both had been shot several times in the head – after they approached the vehicle to tell the operator to move off of the grass.

As the workers got closer to the vehicle, they realized that the rear passenger window was broken, police said. Looking into the vehicle, they saw the bodies of a black male, Arline, and a Hispanic female, Smith, seated in the SUV's rear seat, police said.

According to police, both victims were pronounced dead at 2:55 p.m. on Friday .
