A suspect, seen here, roughed up an 82-year-old woman and carjacked her daughter's Rav4 SUV. New Jersey State Police are asking citizens to share the image in hopes of identifying the man.

New Jersey State Police are looking for a carjacker who roughed up an 82-year-old woman in Burlington County.

The suspect, seen on surveillance video, is a black man, 5 feet 8 inches tall, 170 pounds, long braided hair, and was wearing a white Phillies baseball jersey, white pants and red shoes.

On June 11, at a supermarket parking lot in Hainesport, the man approached a silver 2015 Toyota Rav4 at 9:30 p.m.

The elderly woman was sitting in the parked SUV with keys still in the ignition while her 48-year-old daughter was shopping.

The man opened the vehicle's door, slapped the woman in the face, and forced her out of the car, according to State Police.

Anyone with information is asked to contact NJSP Bordentown Station at (609) 298-1171. Anonymous tips are welcome.

Police have posted the item on their Facebook account and are asking the public to share the information in the hopes that the suspect is identified and the vehicle discovered.
