Reports: Halloween float runs over boy, 6, during Jersey Shore parade

A 6-year-old boy is recovering after he was hit by a Halloween float during a parade at the Jersey Shore.

The boy was attending Point Pleasant's annual Halloween parade put on by the borough's Chamber of Commerce, according to NJ.com. He was walking along the parade's route with his mom when he was run over by a wheel from a utility trailer.

The boy was then taken to Jersey Shore University Medical Center, according to the news website.

Police are investigating the incident, according to the Associated Press
