Police are looking to identify and locate the suspects who robbed H & Y Royal Jewelers in Girard Estates.

Police are seeking the public's help in finding two suspects wanted for robbing a jewelry store in Girard Estates in South Philadelphia.

In surveillance video released by police Friday, two unknown white males can be seen entering H & Y Royal Jewelers at 2437 South 23rd Street on Monday at 5:30 p.m.

They begin looking at jewelry, but when a 53-year-old male employee approaches them from the rear of the store, one of the suspects punches him in the face, knocking him to the floor.

Both suspects can then be seen holding the employee at knife point while tying his hands together with a zip tie. They take him to the rear of the store, and one suspect holds him while the other removes a large amount of jewelry from the shelves and safe. Both suspects then flee the store on foot.

Police said witnesses saw the suspects enter a gold Hyundai Sonata with an unknown paper temporary tag and flee north on 22nd Street.

The employee, who was able to free himself and activate the robbery alarm, suffered minor injuries.

Police describe the suspects as follows:

Suspect #1: White male, 5’7”, 30-35 year-of-age, with a thin oval face, wearing a dark-colored hat, sunglasses, black and white plaid shirt, black pants and black boots.
Suspect #2:
White male, 5’8”, 30-35 years-of-age, wearing a dark colored hat, sunglasses, all dark clothing, and black boots. Note: This suspect was also wearing 'fake' tattoo sleeves.

Anyone with information is encouraged to contact police at (215) 686-TIPS (8477) or text a tip to PPD TIP (773847).
