Sweet Box Bakery to introduce 'Doughlicious,' a safe-to-eat cookie dough treat

It comes in five signature flavors

On Wednesday, July 26, Sweet Box Bakery will introduce a new line of edible cookie dough called "Doughlicious."

The safe-to-eat cookie dough will come in five signature flavors: The O.G., Campfire S'mores, Cheesecake, Cookies-n-Cream and Birthday Cake.

Prices will be $5 for a small scoop, $7 for a large scoop and $5 for a chocolate-coated pop (available in The O.G. only). Assorted toppings will be available for the scoops, which will also be served with a shot of milk.

Doughlicious is available in five signiture flavors.

“I’ve been scraping cookie dough from the back of my whisks and spatulas for as long as I’ve been baking,” said owner Gretchen Fantini.

“Once I heard about a few local ready-to-eat flours, I couldn’t wait to serve a safely edible version at Sweet Box, and I think I’ve finally perfected the recipe."

Sweet Box Bakery is open Tuesdays through Saturdays from 10 a.m. until 7 p.m. and on Sunday from 11 a.m. until 6 p.m. The brick-and-mortar location is at 339 S. 13th St.

In addition to serving "Doughlicious" at her 4-year-old bakery, Fantini will also make the treat available for city events and private parties via her mobile dessert truck, where Sweet Box began in 2011.
