Twitter reacts to Eagles selecting CB Sidney Jones with 43rd-overall pick

After the Eagles went defense in the first round of the 2017 NFL Draft, drafting Tennessee defensive end Derek Barnett with the 14th-overall pick, many thought the Birds would go running back with their second pick.

But after Dalvin Cook was taken by the Vikings two picks before the Eagles went on the clock, that began to look less likely, unless they took Joe Mixon, a player with even more of a troubled past than Cook.

In the end, Howie Roseman opted for a player with a different kind of baggage – an injury – when he selected Washington cornerback Sidney Jones (Achilles) with the 43rd-overall pick.
