The third video in Cory J. Popp's 'Uncover Philly' Web series brings us scenes from Philadelphia in bloom.

As we roll into May, it's always worthwhile to pause and appreciate the springtime for its display of life, color and a return to outdoor activities that lift our spirits.

Back in March, local documentarian Cory J. Popp gave us a look at the underground stretch of the Reading Viaduct Tunnel to start his "Uncover Philly" Web series. Part 2 took us through the streetscapes of Fishtown, which Popp dubbed the city's most interesting neighborhood, where pets lounge in windowsills and artists adorn the walls with local legends.

In the latest installment of the series, Popp gives us an uplifting sequence of scenes from the emergence of the spring season in Philadelphia.

The Spring gives us our first taste of Summer. As trees and flowers begin to bloom, we remember once again what its like to ride our bikes with warm wind combing our hair, to start new gardens, to fire up the grill, and enjoy the weather from our stoops with the neighbors.

Check out the video below and be sure to get outside for a stroll or ride through your favorite parts of town. And if Popp's work really moves you, you're not alone. He's responded to popular demand by making framed prints of his work available for purchase at Easy
