Police are looking to identify a man they say dragged a woman after stealing her car from an Express Fuel store in Northeast Philadelphia on March 3.

A 29-year-old woman was dragged along the road as she attempted to prevent a man from stealing her Honda Civic at an Express Fuel store in the Mayfair section of Northeast Philadelphia earlier this month, according to police.

The woman was inside the convenience store when she saw the suspect enter her car – which had the engine still running – from the driver's side, police said. She then rushed outside and grabbed onto the car. The suspect began driving away, dragging the woman 25 to 30 feet, police said.

The store's surveillance cameras captured the incident, which occurred at 9:29 p.m. on March 3. The woman was transported to Frankford Torresdale Hospital to be treated for minor injuries.

Police are seeking the public's assistance in locating the suspect, who appears throughout the surveillance video. The stolen vehicle is a silver 2013 Honda Civic with four doors.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Northeast Detective Division at (215) 686-3153.
