Allen Iverson reacts to 'honor' of Odell Beckham Jr.'s stepover tattoo

The Philadelphia Eagles escaped a nailbiter against the atrocious New York Giants on Sunday, securing a first-round bye in the playoffs as the Giants lurch ahead toward a complete overhaul this offseason.

One of the many reasons the Giants are a dumpster fire this year is the crippling loss of superstar wideout Odell Beckham Jr., who was sidelined for the year after fracturing his ankle in October.

With one foot booted up, Beckham has spent his recovery focusing on the other leg, which bears a full sleeve of tattoos. He recently revealed that one of those tattoos depicts Allen Iverson's famous "stepover" on Tyron Lue in Game One of the 2001 NBA Finals.

That moment was so era-defining for the NBA and for today's generation of athletes that the Sixers losing those Finals has ceased to matter. It's the most memorable moment from them.

Iverson caught up with TMZ (better view of the tattoo over there) after making an appearance at the BlackSanta Basketball Fundraiser in Santa Monica, an event organized by former NBA star Baron Davis. Iverson was asked specifically about Beckham's tattoo.

"That's cool, man," Iverson said. "I thought that was dope. You know what I mean? I'm a big fan."

All of the love for Iverson aside, he's been publicly silent about the Eagles this year. Maybe that's because he's a loathsome Cowboys fan, but now here he is singing the praises of a Giant. That's fine, they're friends.

But even Kobe gives his blessings to the Eagles. Someday, Iverson will have to explain himself. He will probably love the Eagles the day they win a Super Bowl, which is the most Cowboys fan thing he could possibly do.
