Another day, another bear in 2016.

It's been mayhem out there. Just yesterday, a New Mexico woman was attacked by a bear while running a marathon in a national preserve. She was airlifted to an Albuquerque hospital after sustaining multiple bites and scratches to her head and upper body. Fortunately, her injuries are not life-threatening.

Since the end of hibernation, we've been tracking reports of interesting bear sightings in the region — of which there seem, perhaps arbitrarily, to be many in recent weeks.

The latest is a bear who chose Father's Day to log his appearance in human civilization. Up in North Jersey, in Mendham Township, resident Ron McNeill told NJ.com that his wife spotted a black bear in his swimming pool at approximately 4 p.m. on Sunday.

"It's one thing to have wildlife in your backyard, but it'€™s a different story when they decide to take a dip in your pool," McNeill said.

Naturally, the family filmed the sighting, which lasted about 15 minutes before the bear tottered back into the surrounding woods.

All in all, another revealing chapter in the #BearWatch2016 saga.
