Watch scary movies at Laurel Hill during 'Cinema in the Cemetery' series

There are two upcoming movie nights

This summer, attend a nighttime screening at Laurel Hill during its "Cinema in the Cemetery" series. There are two upcoming movie nights.

Attendees can enter Laurel Hill as early as 8 p.m. for the 9 p.m. screenings. Remember to bring a blanket or chair.

"Army of Darkness" Screening

The movie "Army of Darkness" (1992) is a horror-comedy-action film. It is the third installment in the "Evil Dead" franchise.

In the movie, Bruce Campbell's character Ash is trapped in medieval times, searching for the Necronomicon (a book of evil that will return him to his proper era). Unfortunately, he releases the evil trapped inside the book and unleashes an army of the dead.

Before the R-rated film begins, Travis Trew of the Philadelphia Film Society will lead a brief introduction.

At the screening, the Chilly Banana will be on-site offering cold treats to movie-goers.

"House on Haunted Hill" Screening

In "The House on Haunted Hill" (1959), a millionaire has a proposal for five guests at a possibly haunted mansion: Show up, survive a night filled with scares and receive $10,000 each. Can anyone make it through the night, though?

Attendees are encouraged to pack their own picnic and beverages to enjoy during the movie.
