5-year-old girl, woman in critical condition after stabbings in North Philadelphia home

Police are investigating the incident in Tioga, but no arrests have been made

A 5-year-old girl and 37-year-old woman were stabbed in a Tioga rowhome Monday night. They are currently in critical condition, police said.

A five-year-old girl and a 37-year-old woman each were stabbed multiple times in North Philadelphia on Monday night, police said.

The stabbings occurred around 7:30 p.m. on the 1800 block of North 20th Street in the Tioga section of the city, according to multiple media reports. 

The girl was taken to  St. Christopher's Hospital for Children and was in critical condition, police said. The woman, who was taken to Temple University Hospital, also was in critical condition, CBS3 reported.

Investigators did not find a weapon at the scene. No arrests have been made. Police are continuing to investigate the stabbings.
