The park, to be located at the intersection of East Passyunk Avenue, Broad Street and McKean Street, is being funded by a $500,000 grant from the William Penn Foundation and spearheaded by the Passyunk Avenue Revitalization Corp.
Construction is expected to be completed by June, around the same time a similar space is expected to be finished at a triangular stretch at Passyunk Avenue and Mifflin Street, the Post reports.
According to the Post, and based on project blueprints provided by
the Passyunk Avenue Revitalization Corp., the pavilion will be placed in
the center of the plaza and will be surrounded by benches and tables.
