Christopher Wink is the co-founder and editorial director of Technical.ly, a Philadelphia-based technology news network that has expanded to include coverage in Baltimore, Brooklyn, Delaware and Washington, D.C. What do you like to do outside your work at Technical.ly?
I love what I do, so I certainly always have that on my mind, but a couple years ago, I gave myself the resolution to work toward a greater work-life balance, particularly including personal loves that don't involve screens. I play basketball regularly with a group of friends. I write flash fiction -- typewriter and handwritten on first draft often. I've recently joined a few boards -- youth coding program Coded by Kids; the Workshop School, a project-based West Philly high school, and I've been on the board at the Pen & Pencil Club, the country's oldest private press club. I organize a regular storytelling group among friends. I've also been playing a lot of chess recently with my unnecessarily talented and beautiful fiancee.
What song (or songs) are you listening to on repeat right now?
You could probably scrape my Spotify profile and answer better than I can, and it would surely be more funny that way. I am curious, so I am always taking other people's suggestions, but recently, on my own, I've been more carefully going through The Roots' catalog because I just finished Questlove's 2013 memoirs -- I'm a fan of "I Remember" off their undun album.

What character traits do you admire most about your heroes?
They are happy.
What do you love about living in Philadelphia?
I don't own a car. I ride a bicycle. I own my home. There is a great cultural tradition here, and I have easy access to other cities that also have their own. These are all possible here.
What are you doing this weekend?
I'll be meeting some friends at the aforementioned Pen & Pencil Club, and I have a small writing project I want to finish. It's getting very close to Philly Tech Week presented by Comcast (April 17-25), our big annual celebration of innovation in the region, so I have some catchup work on that. Mostly, though, I will be coming off a particularly busy couple weeks traveling between our other markets, and it happens to be Valentine's Day weekend, so I'll likely spend some quiet time with my unnecessarily talented and beautiful fiancee.
