Apple-Cinnamon Oatmeal

Servings: 1 Prep  •  Time: 5 min.  •  Cook Time: 15 min.

Ingredients:

• 1 cup of unsweetened milk
• ½ cup of old-fashioned oats
• 1 small apple, diced (plus extra if using for topping)
• 2 tablespoons of apple sauce
• 1 teaspoon of brown sugar
• Dash of cinnamon

Directions:

  1. In a large saucepan, bring milk to a boil.
  2. Add oats, apple, applesauce, 1/2 teaspoon brown sugar, and cinnamon and let cook for about 5-minutes.
  3. Top oats with diced apples and 1/2 teaspoon brown sugar.
  4. Handy Hint: For a lower sugar variety, eliminate brown sugar.
