Oyster House's Twin Lobster Dinners return for summer

New this year is a pop-up shellfish dinner

Oyster House will bring back Twin Lobster Dinners for the summer, beginning July 6. On Wednesday nights through the end of August, the restaurant will offer two whole and steamed Maine lobsters (one-pound each), served with sweet corn on the cob and drawn butter, for $28.

"Our lobsters are caught in Maine on Tuesday, put on trucks, and picked up Wednesday morning by us. There's nothing like the sweetness of summer lobsters when they are this fresh," Oyster House proprietor Sam Mink shared with the press.

The deal on lobsters has become a summer tradition for the Center City restaurant; this will be the fifth year the special has been offered.

New for 2016 is a pop-up shellfish dinner on Sunday, July 24.

A family-style spread of steamed blue crabs, cornbread, slaw, summer tomato salad, warm potato salad and berry cobbler with Peppercorn ice cream will be served for $55 per person.

There will be two seating options for the pop-up dinner: 2 p.m. or 5 p.m. Reservations are required.
