Pennsylvania cop allegedly caught masturbating in car

Officer said he was trying to stay awake, according to court records

A Pennsylvania police officer faces charges after allegedly being caught masturbating in his car on two separate occasions.

Lehigh Valley District Attorney Jim Martin announced Friday that Glenn Curtis Woolard, 35, of Lower Macungie Township, has been charged with indecent exposure and disorderly conduct.

Woolard was an officer with the City of Bethlehem when a woman observed him masturbating in his car in the parking lot of a Target in Lower Macungie on Sept. 27, prosecutors said.

Another woman allegedly saw Woolard engaging in the same behavior while both were driving on Hamilton Boulevard on Oct. 5.

According to court records obtained by The Morning Call, Woolard told state police he wasn't doing it for sexual gratification, but to stay awake while driving home.

Woolard has been suspended and will face further disciplinary action, Bethlehem police said.

Woolard, employed as a Bethlehem police officer since 2013, previously served in the Army and performed multiple tours of duty in Iraq and Afghanistan.
