Jackie Evancho, the Pennsylvania 16-year-old who sang the national anthem at President Donald Trump’s inauguration, took to Twitter on Wednesday to request a meeting with Trump over his rescinded bathroom protections for transgender students.

Evancho’s sister, Juliet, 18, transitioned from male to female in 2015 and is one of the plaintiffs in a lawsuit against a Pennsylvania school district over the transgender bathroom rule.

According to Jackie’s tweet, she’s hoping the inauguration gig will be leverage enough to get her and her sister a sit-down at the White House.

On Thursday, following up on her tweets, White House press secretary Sean Spicer told The New York Times that Trump would likely welcome the meeting. There has been no official word on whether the Pittsburgh-area sisters have been in direct contact with the White House.
