Music director Yannick Nézet-Séguin and The Philadelphia Orchestra will perform three programs inspired by the City of Light.

Three weekends in January, the orchestra will perform music that transports concert attendees to Paris.

The first program, Jan. 12-14, will be "a mix of familiar and not-so-familiar [French] works," according to Nézet-Séguin.

The second program, Jan. 19-21, focuses on music created by outsiders, who dreamed of Paris. Attendees will hear music composed by Igor Stravinsky and Frédéric Chopin.

The final program is inspired by “French composers exploring exoticism...taking in the influences of Spain and Italy" Nézet-Séguin explains.

Tickets for each concert begin at $36 per person. Shows will be at either 2 p.m. or 8 p.m. at the Kimmel Center.
