Philly named one of 11 food capitals of 2015

If you're from Philadelphia, you already know we've got plenty of good eats. But the occasional reminder is nice. Continuing a trend of our city being nationally recognized as generally awesome, Travel and Leisure has named Philadelphia one of 11 food capitals of the world for 2015:

Serpico

Details: A Stephen Starr restaurant, this establishment is known for its presentation as well as a diverse menu that includes fried duck leg and sliced pig head.

Dizengoff

1625 Sansom St.

Details: Providing a reportedly near perfect hummus, Dizengoff serves brunch until 4 p.m.

Abe Fisher

1623 Sansom Street

Details: Located across the street from Dizengoff, there are three words you need to know about Abe Fisher: smoked short rib. 

High Street on Market

308 Market St.

Details: Already named the Inquirer's best new restaurant of 2014, High Street has some great pasta dishes as well as killer bagels.
