Kevin Hart fans soon will be able to see the Philadelphia-born actor/comedian take on his first dramatic role.
The remake of the award-winning 2011 French film "The Intouchables" that stars Hart, Bryan Cranston and Nicole Kidman will be released March 9 of next year, Deadline reported this week.

The crew, led by director Neil Burger, began filming the movie in Philadelphia in March. The English-language remake follows an unlikely bond formed between Phillip Lacasse, a billionaire played by Cranston who was left wheelchair-bound after a hang-gliding accident and Hart's character, Dell, who is recently released from prison.
The movie from The Weinstein Company also stars Julianna Margulies and Aja Naomi King.
Hart, who was in Philly earlier this June promoting his new book, "I Can't Make This Up," took up the opportunity of being back in his hometown while filming earlier this year. He shared a photo of his first apartment in North Philly on his Instagram in March and also took the stage for a surprise stand-up set at Warmdaddy's in South Philly.
City Council has also officially proclaimed July 6 "Kevin Hart Day." The date is also the actor/comedian's birthday. He will be 37 this year.
