Joel Embiid will not play when the Sixers face the Milwaukee Bucks on the road Friday night, according to the team's initial injury report for the game unveiled in the afternoon. On the second leg of a back-to-back, Embiid's absence is expected after he played 25 minutes in Thursday's win over the Golden State Warriors. Paul George, who sat on Thursday, is not listed on the injury report and set to go against the Bucks:
Additionally, the Sixers will be without Kelly Oubre Jr. and Trendon Watford, as expected. The team said on Thursday that Oubre will be re-evaluated again in a week as he continues to recover from an LCL sprain in his left knee, while Watford is about five days away from the re-evaluation mark for his left adductor strain.
Meanwhile, the Bucks will be without Giannis Antetokoummpo, who will miss multiple weeks with a calf injury as rumors of a potential trade request swirl.
