Small earthquake reported in New Jersey

A minor 2.5-magnitude earthquake was reported in New Jersey Friday morning.

The U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) confirmed the magnitude-2.5 quake hit around 3:41 a.m., roughly 2 miles north of Bernardsville, Somerset County.

Robert Sanders, a geophysicist with USGS, told NJ.com that by 6:30 a.m., at least 93 people had reported feeling the earthquake from as far as 25 miles away.

No damage or injuries were reported.
