South Jersey resident Kenny Krips will share his story of living life with a rare skin disorder on a TLC episode of "Two in A Million" to air on Wednesday [April 27] at 10 p.m, the Courier-Post reports.
The focus of the show is to bring together two strangers who share an uncommon medical condition for a chance for them to bond over shared experiences as well as spread awareness on their rare disorder on a national TV platform.
Krips, of Glendora in Gloucester County, will appear on the show with an Arizona woman who goes by "Bobbi" and shares the condition. A photo of the two appears above.
The condition they share is called lamellar ichthyosis, an inherited disorder described at Genetics Home Reference as a skin condition that causes sufferers to be born with skin that grows at an increased rate causing the skin to become scaly, dry and stretched, among other symptoms.
The Courier-Post said much of the episode outlines instances of bullying the two, and others with the disorder, have endured based on their appearances.
