Spirit Airlines will soon be adding two additional routes to the Florida out of Philadelphia International Airport.

The low-cost carrier announced Thursday it will provide seasonal, non-stop service to Tampa International Airport and Fort Myers Southwest Florida International Airport.

“This is exciting news for PHL and for travelers who look forward to escaping to sunny, warm Florida during the cold winter months,” said Philadelphia International Airport CEO Chellie Cameron. “We are pleased that Spirit will be offering non-stop flights out of Philadelphia to these popular destinations and look forward to more service to more cities.”

Non-stop service to Tampa will launch Dec. 14 and operate Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. American Airlines, Southwest Airlines and Frontier Airlines currently offer non-stop service to Tampa as well.

Spirit's non-stop service to Fort Myers will launch Dec. 13 and operate Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday. American Airlines and Frontier Airlines also have non-stop service to Fort Myers from Philadelphia.

Spirit began service out of Philadelphia in 2013 and will total 10 annual destinations from the airport once the two Florida routes are up and running.
