18-year-old shot moments after vigil ends for another Philly teen killed on same street

Family and neighbors had gathered for a memorial to Tauhid Collins, who died Friday night in Southwest

An 18-year-old was shot and killed Sunday night in Southwest Philadelphia one hour after a vigil had ended for another teen killed on the same street just days before.

6ABC reported the the teen was found on the 6000 block of Angorra Terrace around 7:30 p.m. Sunday. The Associated Press confirmed he had been shot in the neck and head, and he was pronounced dead at the scene.

The shooting occurred one hour after 100 people gathered for a vigil two blocks down the street, on the 5800 block of Angora Terrace, to remember 17-year-old aspiring Philly rapper Tata Chapo, whose real name was Tauhid Collins. Collins was shot and killed on that same street Friday night.

Police have yet to determine whether the two shootings are related.

Then hours later on Sunday, a 16-year-old girl was critically wounded in another shooting in a nearby home, according to the AP.
