Trump's best tweets on display this weekend in Presidential Twitter Library

'The Daily Show' is set to host the weekend event near Trump Tower

Visitors to the Big Apple this weekend could see some of President Donald Trump's best words on display.

Comedy Central's "The Daily Show" announced Tuesday it plans to set up a Donald J. Trump Presidential Twitter Library at 3 W. 57th St., a two-minute walk from Trump Tower.

The exhibit will show some of the president's better-known takes in 140 characters or less, organized around categories such as "SAD! A Retrospective" and "The Commander-In-Tweet."

It also includes videos, interactive exhibits and tweets from Trump that the show considers contradictory. The exhibit also will give "verified survivors" the chance to recall what it was like being on the receiving end of a Trump Twitter insult.

"Here at 'The Daily Show' we see the danger that faces President Trump," Trevor Noah, host of the satirical news show, said in a June 12 episode. "There are forces in Washington that would hide and suppress his all-important Tweets. Well, not on our watch."

The pop-up exhibit will be open 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Friday through Sunday.

The tribute to Trump and "his historic phone fingers" is free and open to the public, Noah said.

Trump was known for his prolific tweeting prior to his presidential campaign. The president's tweets even prompted a bill proposed Monday in the House of Representatives – the COVFEFE Act, named for Trump's famous Twitter typo – that would ensure the president's Twitter posts be preserved by the National Archives.
