WATCH: True to their name, Sixers get T'd up for having six guys on the floor… out of a timeout

There have been some bad losses over the past two-plus years of Philadelphia 76ers basketball, but Wednesday night’s effort against the Indiana Pacers is certainly up there as one of the worst.

Committing 31 turnovers is like… well, it’s like committing 31 turnovers. Perhaps the low point of the evening came out of a 20-second timeout in the second quarter when the Sixers, true to their name, broke the huddle with six players. That is one too many, obviously. They were assessed a technical foul for the transgression.

Here is the video (h/t Ball Don’t Lie!):

“I asked Jahlil [Okafor] to go in and so he just went in,” Brett Brown said after the game. “It’s a classic 19-year-old mistake. ‘Jahlil get in,’ and so he just went in instead of going up to the scorer’s table.”

“And that’s [my fault] because I’m barking at him ‘Jahlil get in the game’ and he just walked straight on to the court. I should’ve ushered him to the scorer’s table. With the tone of my voice and the speed [because] I was trying to beat the play to get him in, he just did what I asked him to do. And that’s on me, but that’s what happened.”
