West Deptford boy finishes second on MasterChef Junior

Andrew Zappley's time on the Fox reality competition show "MasterChef Junior" came to an end Tuesday, as the West Deptford 12-year-old finished in second place.

Thirteen-year-old Nathan Odom, of San Diego, took home the $100,000 prize. But the hometown boy told NJ.com he has no regrets, and his days in the kitchen aren't over.

"It's been a wonderful journey," Andrew said at a community viewing party at a local school. "It's an honor to be here and to watch myself on TV."

His future goal is to become a chef.
