DJ Jazzy Jeff, The Roots' Black Thought pair up for fundraiser

GrassROOTS Community Foundation hosts 5th Annual Let’s Move It: Philly Hip Hop Party

As if Philadelphia didn't love local legends DJ Jazzy Jeff and The Roots' Black Thought enough, the two are pairing up to play a killer community fundraiser.

The GrassROOTS Community Foundation's 5th Annual Let’s Move It: Philly Hip Hop Party on Saturday Feb. 21, will raise money for the Lingelbach Home and School Association to create a much-needed after-school program.

DJ Jazzy Jeff and Black Thought, along with DJ Rich Medina, will provide the music, of course. The theme for this year is Philly Classics, so anyone wearing Reebok Classics will get $10 off tickets at the door. The dress code is "chic," however you define it! For $100, you can get an official photo with Jazzy Jeff and Black Thought and for $500 you can get bottle service, too.

The GrassROOTS Community Foundation is a public health organization that supports and creates health and wellness programs for women and girls. They also advocate for social policies that improve community equity.
