FBI seeks Eagles fan in Center City bank heist

This man, who wore an Eagles hat during a brazen morning bank robbery, is wanted by the Philadelphia Police and the FBI.

The Philadelphia Police and the FBI are seeking help from the public after a man wearing an Eagles hat and sunglasses robbed a Center City bank on Wednesday morning. 

According to information released by the FBI, a man described as being about 30 to 40 years old and 5’9” tall, with a mustache and a thin build, walked into a Republic Bank branch at 1601 Walnut Street at about 10 a.m. and handed a note to the teller demanding cash. 

After receiving an undisclosed amount of money, the FBI said that the man fled south on 16th Street. 

Law enforcement officials note that at the time of the incident, the suspect wore a black hooded sweatshirt, silver shorts, green Eagles cap and sunglasses, and carried a bluish-gray backpack with black and green trim.

The suspect, the FBI said, is to be considered armed and dangerous. 

Law enforcement officials also said that there may be a reward for information leading to the capture of the suspect.
