Fight at suburban Philly Thanksgiving bash

One man knocked unconscious as eight police units called in

A fight just before closing time marred a Thanksgiving Eve bash in suburban Philadelphia.

The night before Thanksgiving has become a major draw for bars in recent years.

Police were called to Pizza Como and PC Pub on the 400 block of Pottstown Avenue in the northern Montgomery County borough of Pennsburg shortly before 2 a.m. Thursday.

The eatery was promoting a Thanksgiving eve bash with the band Gracys Trip -- a Lehigh Valley group that mixes covers with original music -- when one man was knocked unconscious. Police confirm at least one man was injured.

A suspervisor said police -- reportedly eight units -- were called in, primarily for crowd control.

The band that was playing is featured at the pub's New Year's Eve celebration.
