Kyle Chambliss, 27, of Plainfield, New Jersey.

A New Jersey man on the verge of getting arrested for suspected drunk driving desperately crapped his pants in order to avoid his fate last weekend. Spoiler: it didn't work.

Authorities in Plainfield say 27-year-old Kyle Chambliss was approached in his vehicle at around 4:20 a.m. on Sunday by officers who received a report of a disorderly man, 6ABC reports. When the officers smelled alcohol on Chambliss, they asked him to step out of the vehicle, but he refused to end a cell phone conversation he had continued when the officers apprehended him.

Police say Chambliss became aggressive and when he was told he would be placed under arrest, he claimed he had to defecate in his pants. The officers temporarily obliged.

Chambliss allegedly attacked officers when they attempted to arrest him and was pepper-sprayed in order to be brought under control. He was taken to a local hospital after complaining of difficulty breathing.

Prosecutors in Union County have charged Chambliss with aggravated assault on a police officer, resisting arrest and disorderly conduct. He is being held at the Union County Jail in lieu of $65,000 bail.
