Overnight shooting in Germantown leaves one dead, two in custody

Police are searching for clues and are questioning two suspects to try to figure out what led to the shooting death of a 25-year-old man in a Pathmark parking lot in the city's Germantown section early Wednesday morning.

Police told 6ABC that when they arrived on the 200 block of West Chelten Avenue shortly after 2:30 a.m., the unidentified victim had been shot at least once in the chest, with a separate graze wound to the head.

The victim was rushed to Einstein Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. Several shell casings were reportedly recovered about 50 feet away from the victim.

Two people have been taken into police custody for questioning, although no arrests have been made at this time. Witnesses are also being questioned, 6ABC reports.
