Local Indy broadcast didn’t quite hit Eagles-Colts game out of the park

With a Scott Graham-Mike Mayock pairing for preseason games, Eagles fans have it pretty good. Considering that there are so many names and storylines to remember, the preseason can be pretty tough to announce. Still, everyone in the Delaware Valley is consistently treated to a professional broadcast.

Then, there are the Colts, where:

•    Rodney McLeod is Nolan Carroll.

•    Nolan Carroll is… Mark Anthony. Like the singer, I guess?

•    Scott Tolzien, who happens to be the Colts backup quarterback, is Scott Tolziel.

•    Per the graphics, Dannie Logan and Jacon Peters play for the Eagles and Rod Chudzinski (it’s Rob) is the Colts offensive coordinator. I mean, at least get the home team right.

To tie this subject in with the week’s big story in Philadelphia, the graphics errors are reminiscent of the time that TBS unfortunately got Carlos Ruiz’s nickname wrong during the 2008 playoffs.

The play-by-play announcer, Don Fischer, is a legendary broadcaster in Indiana for his work calling IU athletics. This certainly wasn’t his best night. Check out the lowlight reel here (via @Jeffmulhollan):
