Food trucks, live music and vendors will fill Main Street in Manayunk during the StrEAT Food Festival.
One of the biggest food events of the spring is coming back to Manayunk.
The StrEAT Food Festival returns Sunday, April 19, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., with more than 70 food trucks and vendors lining Main Street through the heart of the neighborhood.
The free, rain-or-shine event will close Main Street to vehicle traffic, giving visitors room to walk the stretch and try food from across the region. Food and drinks are pay-as-you-go.
The lineup includes everything from barbecue and tacos to dumplings, lobster rolls and desserts, with vendors coming from around Philadelphia, South Jersey and beyond.
Live music will run throughout the day on two stages, and local artists and makers will be set up along the route selling handmade goods. Shops and restaurants in Manayunk are also expected to have specials during the festival.
A larger family area is also planned this year near Lock Street, with extra seating, kids activities, a bounce house and a handful of food vendors.
Parking in the area is limited, so organizers recommend public transportation, rideshare or biking into the neighborhood.
