Head outdoors Saturday and get moving at PLAY Manayunk, an all-day celebration of fitness, outdoor recreation and fun. Races and health challenges will take place throughout the day, including activities just for kids.

It all kicks off at 8 a.m. with the Manayunk Mile, a fun-run for all ages. Next, at the Venice Island Performing Arts and Recreation Center, entertainment and recreation on land and water will take place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., rain or shine.

Activities at Venice Island will include nature hikes, recess games, kayaking, dragon boating, health lectures, yoga classes and more. Live music and performances will be provided and food trucks will be on hand to fill post-workout stomachs. A kid's area will have crafts, a petting zoo and a moon bounce.

If you want to help Philly enter the Guinness Book of World Records, join The Never Give Up World Record Challenge at 1 p.m. You could be part of the world record for most people doing simultaneous sit-ups.

When day turns into night, Manayunk will host the Run to Happy Hour event and then Venice Island will show a movie that evening.
