Yoga is beneficial for the body and mind.

Pop Up Yoga Philly, the locally driven group that hosts yoga classes all over town in landmark locations, is taking its skills to the Philadelphia Zoo. The afternoon of Saturday, September 19, they'll be getting their "ohm" on among the big cats and elephants.

The gentle vinyasa class is open to anyone with a donation to the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation. Pop Up Yoga Philly has teamed up with the organization for this event, as they're hosting a local 8.5K at the Zoo on Saturday at 6 p.m. as well.

Parking and entrance into the Zoo are free for this event. Donations can be made at the event entrance with the event coordinator. Register for the pop-up here, then look out for their next class Thursday, September 24 at Philadelphia's Magic Gardens.
