Joel Embiid logged a season-high 38 minutes on Tuesday. For the second time all season, he could play two games in a three-day span.
Joel Embiid (right ankle sprain; right knee injury management) is probable to play when the Sixers face the Dallas Mavericks on the road on Thursday night, according to the team's initial injury report for the game unveiled on Wednesday evening.
Embiid playing in Dallas would mark just the second time all season he has played two games in a three-day span, which would be particularly encouraging because Embiid shattered his previous season-high by playing 38 minutes in the Sixers' dramatic overtime victory over the Memphis Grizzlies on Tuesday and was moving better than he had all season for most of the contest:

The only other injuries on the Sixers' report: Kelly Oubre Jr. (left knee sprain) and Trendon Watford (left adductor strain) remain out, though both players have returned to practice and appear to be getting close to returning. Oubre's absence has lasted over six weeks, while Watford has missed more than a month.
On the other side of things, Mavericks star Anthony Davis is set to return from an injury he suffered on Christmas Day, with head coach Jason Kidd indicating the 10-time All-Star would play between 30 and 34 minutes.
