Ever been to space? Neither have we.
One astronaut, however, has brought Philadelphians a view of the city they call home from way up in the Earth's thermosphere.
NASA astronaut Shane Kimbrough tweeted out a photo to his 24,000 followers Wednesday that shows a nighttime view of the Philadelphia, Atlantic City and New York City area.

Kimbrough, who is heading the International Space Station, has been in space since mid-October as part of the Expedition 49-50 mission. Kimbrough is gearing up for his second spacewalk of the year Friday, when he and flight engineer Thomas Pesquet will work on the station's power system.
Pretty cool, huh?
If you're into that, check out Google's aerial timelapse of Philadelphia that shows how much the city has changed in the past three decades here.
