All Philadelphia public and parochial schools will open on a two-hour delay on Tuesday morning as the city prepares to deal with the second winter storm in as many days.

Officials with the School District of Philadelphia announced Monday afternoon they would delay the opening of all elementary, middle and high schools by two hours. Administrative offices will open on a one-hour delay.

LATEST FORECAST: Snow? Sleet? Freezing rain? What to expect tonight and tomorrow

Earlier on Monday, the Archdiocese of Philadelphia announced a two-hour delay for its parochial and high schools in the city.

It noted that archdiocesan high schools and parochial elementary schools in the suburban counties typically follow the decision of their corresponding local public school district.

The public school district asked parents and caregivers to be patient Tuesday as some yellow bus routes may experience moderate to significant delays due to messy road conditions.
