Pabst Citywide Festival Cheesesteak @PBR_Philly/for PhillyVoice

Try these late-night food adventures during the Pabst Citywide Festival.

Get ready for six days of music, art and unlimited Pabst Blue Ribbon on tap, because the Pabst Citywide Festival is coming to Philly Oct. 3-8. With incredible lineups all week long featuring bands like Animal Collective, Hop Along, Mac DeMarco and more, you’re sure to have a week to remember – or if you have a really good week, you probably won’t remember any of it.

But what about when the music stops and you’ve had your fill of PBR, but you’re left craving some late-night food? Most are left to aimlessly wander the streets of Philly looking for anywhere serving some lame, hours-old pizza sitting under the heat lamps. But we’re not going to let that happen during this festival.

Here are some late-night food adventures so you can try a different place every night of the week.

MondayCheesesteaks

Let’s just get this one out of the way first. Pat’s & Geno’s. They’re open all night, so just follow the neon, order a cheesesteak or two, grab a dirty handful of hot peppers, and deal with the regret later. But which place is better? No one cares.

TuesdaySouth Street

If your levels of hunger weren’t satisfied in South Philly cheesesteak land the night before, then try the mecca of 3 a.m. nonsense…South Street! Jim’s Steaks is at the corner of Fourth, and Lorenzo’s Pizza is just down the block. Be sure to wrap your "whiz wit" tightly with an oversized Lorenzo’s slice. Don’t worry, your Uber ambulance is four minutes away.

Wednesday Chinatown

If you like your MSG with a side of food, then head over to Chinatown. Doesn’t really matter what place you choose, because it’s a well known fact that there is one giant magically underground kitchen below Chinatown cooking for all the restaurants. However, the legendary Salt & Pepper Wings only seem to reach the surface at David’s Mah Lai Wah, and those things have been known to grant wishes.

Thursday Diners

In some parts of the United States, a diner is a friendly place where a weary traveler can get a cheap, hearty, home-cooked breakfast; hot cup of joe and maybe even a free piece of pie from the waitress with the kind eyes. Philadelphia is not one of those places. Our diners are places with interrogation-room lighting, lukewarm chicken fingers and sassy waitresses bringing you Caesar dressing even though you specifically asked for honey mustard. Eat at Little Pete’s if this sounds appetizing.

FridayFood Trucks

If you’re in Fishtown and all of the 683 restaurants and bars within two blocks are closed or refusing to serve you because you lost your shirt and shoes in the mosh pit, then follow your broken nose to the food trucks at Frankford and Girard. You’ll be healed in no time. Update: No more delicious food trucks on Frankford & Girard... #ThanksObama

SaturdayJust go home. Seriously.

The festival is over on Saturday night. Go home, get your life together and sleep until it’s time for work on Monday.
