UPDATED 6:06 p.m.: Authorities announced that Melinda Mattonelli has returned home safely.
From earlier: The City of Burlington Police Department is asking for help in its investigation into a 17-year-old girl who went missing after visiting an amusement park on Monday.
Melinda Mattonelli was reported missing early Tuesday at 3 a.m. by her father. She did not return after a planned trip to Six Flags Great Adventure in Jackson, New Jersey.
