Celebrate the Fourth at Camden’s Freedom Festival with The Spinners and fireworks over the waterfront

Wiggins Park will host a full night of music and family-friendly festivities capped by a fireworks show on the Delaware River

The annual Freedom Festival and Fourth of July Fireworks Spectacular returns to Wiggins Waterfront Park on Friday, July 4 with an evening of live music, community festivities, and fireworks over the Delaware River.

Presented by the Camden County Board of Commissioners and the City of Camden, this free celebration will be headlined by iconic R&B group The Spinners, known for their timeless hits and enduring influence on American soul music.

"Freedom Festival is one of our most anticipated events each year, garnering thousands of visitors to our beautiful waterfront for an evening of music, fireworks and fun,” said Commissioner Ed McDonnell, Deputy Director to the Camden County Department of Events and Community Outreach. “We encourage everyone to join us to celebrate Independence Day against the skyline of the nation’s first capital.”

Freedom Festival Schedule

• 6 p.m. – Matt Cappy & Friends: South Jersey’s own accomplished instrumentalist, composer and arranger brings along friends to accompany his soulful trumpet melodies.
• 8 p.m. – The Spinners: Among the most iconic and enduring groups in the classic soul genre, The Spinners enjoy universal appeal owing to a classic catalog of songs that have earned their place in the Great American Songbook.

• 9:30 p.m. – Fireworks Spectacular: A dazzling display over the Delaware River caps off the evening.

The event is open to all ages. Attendees are encouraged to bring chairs and blankets to enjoy the performances and view the fireworks from the park’s scenic lawn.
