The Rothman Institute Ice Rink at Dilworth Park is getting ready to reopen. Families and friends will head onto the ice Friday, Nov. 13 to kick off the attraction's second season in the shadow of City Hall. It will be open every day through Sunday, Feb. 28.

This year, the rink will have extended hours and special events, plus something that will look quite familiar to WinterFest goers: the Rothman Cabin, a sheltered spot for skaters to enjoy food and drink. It will have Cuban burgers, French fries, hot chocolate, coffee and more. It does have one advantage over the Delaware River Waterfront Corporation's rink-side shelter The Lodge: you don't have to take off your skates to get in!
Sled skating for members of the disabled community will also be available this year, complete with trained rink staff on hand to assist, thanks to Magee Rehabilitation. A four-week "Learn To Skate" program will be offered this year as well, available on Sunday mornings.
The rink will be open Monday through Thursday, noon-9 p.m., Friday, noon-11 p.m., Saturday, 11 a.m.- 11 p.m., and Sunday, 11 a.m.-8 p.m.
