From 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. those in the Center City area can feel good about stopping for happy hour on Giving Tuesday. On this global day of giving, Devereux’s Young Friends group is hosting a gift drive at Pennsylvania 6 on 12th Street.
Devereux is a nonprofit health care provider that serves children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities and behavioral health challenges. They serve more than 1,000 individuals with autism spectrum disorder.
To participate in the charity event, bring an unwrapped gift for a child or adult, and it will be donated to someone in need within the Devereux network. Suggested items include board games, books, clothes, puzzles, soft sport balls, toiletries, towels and gift cards.
There will be happy-hour specials for sale and bar snacks provided for attendees.
