Police: Man with mental disorder missing from South Philly medical center

Philadelphia Police are asking for the public's assistance in finding a man who suffers from a mental disorder and went missing Monday.

According to police, 44-year-old Theodore Gaskins was last seen at the Horizon Medical/Mental Health agency located at 1909 S. 6th St. around 10:30 a.m. 

Gaskins suffers from schizophrenia and requires medication, according to police, and is being considered a missing endangered person. 

Authorities say that Gaskins may be somewhere in the area of the 100 block of S. 30th St. 

Gaskins is a black male, standing 5'11" and weighing approximately 260 pounds with brown eyes and black hair. He was last seen wearing a light-colored plaid button down shirt, a white T-shirt, and blue jean shorts. 

Anyone with information on Gaskins' whereabouts is asked to call the South Detective Division at 215-686-3013 or call 911.
