For the gambling degenerates out there, with the draft over and done with, you can bet on which rookie will win NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year, along with a number of other prop bets. Canada-based Bovada.lv is providing those odds, and Eagles rookie WR Nelson Agholor is included in a number of them.
Player | Odds | Player | Odds |
Jameis Winston | 6/1 | Phillip Dorsett | 20/1 |
Melvin Gordon | 13/2 | Devin Smith | 22/1 |
Amari Cooper | 15/2 | Ameer Abdullah | 25/1 |
Todd Gurley | 8/1 | Breshad Perriman | 25/1 |
Marcus Mariota | 9/1 | Chris Conley | 25/1 |
Kevin White | 10/1 | David Johnson | 25/1 |
Nelson Agholor | 14/1 | Devin Funchess | 25/1 |
T.J. Yeldon | 14/1 | Dorial Green-Beckham | 25/1 |
DeVante Parker | 16/1 | Duke Johnson | 25/1 |
Maxx Williams | 16/1 | Jaelen Strong | 25/1 |
Tyler Lockett | 18/1 |
• If I were to pick the guy I think is most likely to win it, I would agree it's Jameis Winston, who will have Vincent Jackson and Mike Evans to throw to. However, I don't necessarily love the 6/1 odds.
• From an odds perspective, I kinda like T.J. Yeldon's chances at 14/1. The Jaguars don't have jack at running back, so Yeldon will have a chance to play immediately, and that's half the battle.
• Nelson Agholor is right about where I'd expect him to be, as the seventh most likely OROY.
That is a great number by Bovada. Gaining 700 receiving yards as a rookie is no small feat. However, a year ago, Jordan Matthews went for 872 yards playing solely from the slot. There's an argument to be made that Agholor may actually get more opportunities than Matthews did a year ago, so I like his chances to top 700 yards.
This one feels too easy. Over.
